43rd Annual Spring Benefit
DOROT's Annual Spring Benefit was held May 22nd at the Harmonie Club. This special evening honored The Miriam & Arthur Diamond Charitable Trust and its Trustee, Jay H. McDowell. Under his leadership, The Diamond Charitable Trust has been an integral partner in DOROT’s growth, impacting the lives of thousands of isolated, homebound and homeless seniors in New York City annually.
DOROT also celebrated the graduating seniors of our Next Generation Teen Council, whose members make meaningful connections with older adults throughout the year.
A special highlight of this year’s event was a performance by American classical pianist Simone Dinnerstein, also a longtime friend to DOROT. She captivated the audience with two pieces by Francois Couperin and Philip Glass. We are very grateful to Simone for sharing her time and tremendous talent with us.
DOROT’s work ensures that thousands of older adults in New York City and Westchester do not face social isolation. Our impact would not be possible without the partnership and involvement of so many individuals, foundations and organizations.
