Young Professionals Bake for DOROT Seniors
On October 21, DOROT’s Young Professionals Leadership Circle hosted a "Cookies and Cocktails" event at DOROT, which offered volunteers an opportunity to help seniors in a fun social setting. Forty volunteers between the ages of 22 and 35 came to the event to mingle, learn more about the agency, and bake hundreds of cookies for the 47 seniors who are recipients of DOROT’s Shabbos Meals program. The volunteers also made cards to include in the packages of cookies.
The event followed DOROT’s first Young Professionals gathering, a happy hour fundraiser in September.
