Holiday Cooking for
Join us at DOROT for one of three cooking sessions, each of which will focus on a specific Jewish holiday Tu B’Shevat, Purim, Passover that is culturally rich in Jewish foods and customs. A professional chef, Nancy Wolfson-Moche, will lead each session as we will explore the origin, context, and lessons that lie within each Jewish food on the menu. Participants will share their own memories and family traditions and the chef will introduce Jewish stories connected with these foods and the holiday.

Volunteers are requested to arrive at DOROT at 2:30pm for the cook and learn. At 5:00 you will deliver the food to DOROT’S Homelessness Prevention Program (HPP) nearby, help to serve the meal and have an opportunity for conversation with the residents of the HPP and Aftercare.
The program will end approximately at 6:00pm.
