For over three decades, DOROT has alleviated this isolation by bringing volunteer visitors and other life–enhancing programs to seniors in their homes. Your participation in the programs listed below will bring volunteer visitors to you, at your request.

DOROT’s in–home programs are available to seniors in Manhattan on the Upper West Side from 59th Street to 125th Street and the East Side from 14th Street to 96th Street. For information about available programs and areas served in Westchester, please call 800–499–0940.

For some DOROT programs, including those that involve sending a volunteer to your home, a home visit by a DOROT social worker is a prerequisite. This helps us determine if a particular program will meet your needs and that only the most appropriate volunteers are selected to come to your home.

There is a small fee or suggested donation for some services.
