9/11 National Day of Service & Remembrance
Homelessness Prevention Program
DOROT’s Homelessness Prevention Program (HPP) provides homeless older adults with transitional housing, kosher meals, counseling and case assistance, and relocates them into safe, affordable and permanent housing. The HPP’s Aftercare component offers resettled seniors continued support and assistance with benefits, food and services to ensure that they never become homeless again.
We are proud to announce that PIMCO will be sponsoring the 9/11 National Day of Service dinner for the third consecutive year.
Throughout the year there are multiple opportunities to sponsor a meal at our Homelessness Prevention Program. Sponsorship is a $2,000 donation to cover the cost of the food and paper supplies. A maximum of 10 volunteers are needed to help setup, serve dinner and socialize with 35-40 seniors in residence. The time commitment is from 5-7:30 PM. For more information please contact Rebecca Zinger, Coordinator of Adult Volunteer Services, firstname.lastname@example.org
