DOROT Receives Eisner Grant to Launch Virtual Teen Internship

Intergenerational connections are going virtual!

DOROT is one of only 13 New York City-based organizations to receive a grant through the Eisner Foundation's new New York City grantmaking program.

The $150,00 grant will allow DOROT to expand our Virtual Teen Internship program model as a stand-alone digital platform that will benefit older adults and teens throughout all of New York City.

Judith Turner, DOROT Senior Program Officer for Volunteer Services and Intergenerational Programs, shared, "We are grateful for the generous investment from the Eisner Foundation. This new virtual initiative will break down traditional generational roles and create a mutual space for community, support, meaning, and volunteerism. Without the confines of a physical space, our potential impact becomes limitless."
