As a Package Delivery volunteer, you can make a meaningful connection with an older neighbor through a social visit or phone call and a care package. While holidays can increase feelings of loneliness or isolation, volunteering for Passover Package Delivery creates shared connections and community.
The program is called Package Delivery, but we like to say that it’s really “not about the package” It’s about the connections you make—for volunteers and recipients alike. Deliveries take place in Manhattan on the East side and Upper West Side, and in Westchester county.
Here’s How it Works:
- Register!
- Pick up a package and get matched with an older adult.
- Deliver the package to the home of an older adult.
- Stay for a social visit or follow up with a friendly phone call.
