Join Pegasus: The Orchestra’s principals—Ariel Horowitz, violin, and Yasmina Spiegelberg, clarinet—together with founder and artistic director Karén Hakobyan, piano, for a vibrant program celebrating folk traditions through the voices of 20th-century masters. Audiences will journey from Bartók’s vivid re-imagining of Romanian dances to Khachaturian’s and Arutiunian’s joyful Armenian spirit, from Lutosławski’s bold modern reflections to de Falla’s fiery Spanish flair, and to Schoenfield’s lively Freylakh Trio—a dazzling celebration of Klezmer music.

This is the second session in a three-part concert series presented by Pegasus: The Orchestra and DOROT. Please click here for Part 1 and here for Part 3.

This session takes place both in person at DOROT Manhattan and online over Zoom.
