3 Mondays: July 13, 20, and 27, 10:00 AM to 11:30 AM EST
This class explores the relationships and connections that shape our lives and sense of self. Through photography and/or other lens-based media, participants are invited to reflect on the people, places, communities, experiences, and influences that have left a lasting impression on them. Rather than focusing on any one type of relationship, the class encourages a broad and personal interpretation of “connection.”
Participants are encouraged to develop a visual language that explores themes such as care, memory, belonging, distance, influence, change, and resilience. Connections might be expressed through portraits, objects, landscapes, archives, or everyday moments, creating space to consider how our relationships and experiences continue to shape us over time. Led by artists Dana Stirling and Jonathan David Smyth.
