Gain experience as a storyteller by telling personal stories in a supportive group.

A group of teens and older adults will get together once a week to engage in story circles. A Story Circle is a group of people sitting in a circle (a virtual circle over Zoom), telling personal stories, led by a Story Circle facilitator. Each Story Circle will have a different theme, and every session will start and end with an informal gathering and mingling.

Tuesdays, July 29th, August 5th, and August 12th from 11am-12pm EST

About the Facilitator: Arielle Sabot (they/she) is an educator, artist, farmer, and scholar of ecofeminism. Arielle holds a B.A. from NYU in Individualized Studies where they studied how art and religion can educate communities about the climate crisis; they recently completed their M.A. at the Jewish Theological Seminary in Jewish Gender and Women’s Studies with a thesis on Jewish ecofeminist philosophy and theology. Arielle is deeply passionate about Jewish spirituality, climate justice, and how the two intersect. In her free time Arielle enjoys creating art, cooking, spending time with friends, and interacting with more-than-human animals.

All participants must attend all workshop sessions. If this is your first time participating in DOROT’s Intergenerational Program, you will be asked to attend an orientation.
