Teens and older adults strengthen their skills and form friendships across the chess board!
In this setting, wisdom and curiosity meet face-to-face, building mutually beneficial relationships in the process. Play chess, share stories, and create meaningful intergenerational connections!
About the Facilitator: Teaching has taken Thor across the world. For over the last ten years, he has been fortunate to teach one of the things he has loved since childhood: Chess. He believes playing the game develops character as well as critical thinking skills. When not teaching, Thor is pursuing his studies in artificial intelligence and data science.
Intergenerational Chess at DOROT is sponsored by the Targoff family and friends.
All participants must attend all workshop sessions – 10/20, 10/27, 11/3, 11/10, 11/17, 12/1, and 12/8 from 4:30pm-6pm EST
If this is your first time participating in DOROT’s Intergenerational Program, you will be asked to attend an orientation.
