DOROT's Executive Director Mark Meridy recently appeared on the "This is Growing Old" podcast with Sue Peschin, President and CEO of the alliance for Aging Research to discuss the issues of social isolation and loneliness among older adults.
On DOROT's response to COVID-19, Meridy shared, "Our social work staff have worked tirelessly along with our volunteers to reach out to seniors and stay connected."
On what he imagined growing older would be like, Meridy added, "Over the course of my career I have been fortunate to be able to have a complete transformation of aging and what it means to be older. It is incredibly powerful to meet people in their 90's who continue to rock it!"
