In partnership with NYC Council Member Gale Brewer, we’re excited to offer seniors the opportunity to receive a bag of locally grown produce for $10 (a $15+ value) throughout the growing season in 2024!
With pay-as-you-go pricing, you can enjoy fresh produce at a great value when it’s convenient for you. The produce is ordered by GrowNYC at wholesale prices from farmers in NY, NJ, CT, and PA.
Pay $10, a week in advance of the upcoming pick up date, and your bag will be available between 2:00 – 5:00 PM on pick up day at DOROT.

2024 Pick up Dates:
- July 10 (Pay by July 2)
- July 24 (Pay by July 17)
- August 7 (Pay by July 31)
- August 21 (Pay by August 14)
- September 4 (Pay by August 28)
- September 18 (Pay by September 11)
- October 2 (Pay by September 25)
- October 16 (Pay by October 9)
- October 30 (Pay by October 23)
- November 13 (Pay by November 6)
How it works:
- A cash payment of $10 (exact amount only) must be received by the payment due date. Payments more than a week in advance of the delivery date cannot be accommodated.
- Your produce bag must be picked up at DOROT on the pick up date. If your bag is not picked up by 5:00 PM on the scheduled date, it will be donated.
- Delivery time for the bags at DOROT varies. Please wait until we have called or emailed to inform you that the bags are ready for pick up.
