In Memory of Vivian Ehrlich

We are saddened to share the passing of DOROT’s former Executive Director, Vivian Ehrlich, whose leadership helped shape DOROT.

For more than 20 years, Vivian led DOROT with remarkable dedication, creativity, and heart. What was a small grassroots organization on the Upper West Side grew under her leadership into a highly respected, innovation-driven organization at the forefront of addressing social isolation and loneliness. 

Many of the signature programs at the core of our work today were developed or expanded during her tenure.

We extend our sincere condolences to her children and to all those who had the privilege of knowing Vivian and working alongside her.
