Julia Kessler-Hollar, LMSW
Senior Program Officer, Supportive Services

Julia joined DOROT in 2023. She oversees an array of programs and services, including: Friendly Visiting, Information and Referral, Kosher Meals at Home, Synagogue Partnerships, outreach activities, as well as our social workers’ in-home visits with older adults to discuss DOROT programs and other needs to help them age safely in place.
Prior to that, she was the Senior Director, Crisis Intervention with the Metropolitan Council on Jewish Poverty. Before moving to NYC, Julia worked for Jewish Family Services of Washtenaw County in Ann Arbor, Michigan as the Geriatric Services Manager providing case coordination for older adults, along with mental health support, and the facilitation of the Partners in Care Concierge program. Julia began her career at Jewish Family Service of Metro Detroit.
Originally from North Carolina, Julia obtained her bachelor’s in Sociology from the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill and her Master of Social Work, with a certificate in Jewish Communal Leadership, from the University of Michigan.
