Michelle Kim

Chief Finance and Operations Officer

Michelle joined DOROT in 2026 as Chief Finance and Operations Officer where she is responsible for the strategic and operational oversight of the organization’s financial operations, information technology infrastructure, enterprise risk management, facilities management, and security.

In her previous role, she served as the CFO at APIA Scholars leading the finance and business operations team on the strategic growth plan. Prior to that, she held a number of roles focusing on finance, operations, and strategic planning with various nonprofits. Before transitioning to the nonprofit sector, Michelle was a Vice President at Deutsche Bank and held several roles at Morgan Stanley and OppenheimerFunds.

Michelle earned a BA in Psychology from Smith College and an MBA from NYU Stern School of Business. She was the Founding Co-Chair of the Open Hands Legal Services Young Professionals Network and previously participated on the Leadership Council of the Beginning with Children Foundation.
