Birthday, Holiday & Caring Cardmaking

Birthday, Holiday  & Caring Cardmaking

Making a card is an easy, fun and important way to contribute to the work that we do to decrease social isolation among seniors.

Currently, DOROT has a great need for birthday cards which we send to 3,000+ older adults each year. Sometimes, a card from a DOROT volunteer is the only communication an older adult receives to acknowledge their special day. We also welcome cards for Thanksgiving, Rosh Hashanah and Passover holidays as well as Caring Cards which we can use on a variety of occasions.

Whether you’re looking for something to do on a rainy day at home with your family or planning an activity for your school, community or corporate group, making a card is a great way to help brighten someone’s day.

Here are some tips to guarantee a successful birthday or holiday cardmaking project.
