Please note, we ask participants in this workshop to commit to attending all sessions: 2/2, 2/9, 2/23, 3/2, and 3/9.

Strengthen your skills and make a friend across the chess board! Teens and older adults will play chess, share stories, and create meaningful intergenerational connections. In this setting, wisdom and curiosity will meet face-to-face, building mutually beneficial relationships in the process.

If this is your first time participating in DOROT’s Intergenerational Program, you will be asked to attend an orientation.

About the Facilitator: Teaching has taken Thor across the world. For over the last ten years, he has been fortunate to teach one of the things he has loved since childhood: Chess. He believes playing the game develops character as well as critical thinking skills. When not teaching, Thor is pursuing his studies in artificial intelligence and data science.

Intergenerational Chess at DOROT is sponsored by the Targoff family and friends.
