This program is specifically designed for children of Holocaust survivors (2Gs).
This workshop will allow us to tell the visual story of our families through heirlooms, letters, photographs, and/or memories. We will weave together a narrative from the past through a series of guided short exercises focusing on a treasured object, photograph or memory as the anchor. We will work with paper, pens and a timer and turn this family history into a comic. Everyone will leave with the tools to continue their creative practice and write more stories. No drawing experience necessary, all are welcome! Facilitated by cartoonist and educator Tracy White.
This series begins on Tuesday, July 29 and continues weekly through August 12.
