DOROT’s Light One Night is a family volunteering opportunity that connects families with children (ages 5 – 17) with older adults to share the holiday traditions and deliver a festive package.
Each family will create their own Hanukkah package filled with holiday goodies to give to an older adult. Don’t worry—we’ll send a helpful guide with tips on how to put it together and visiting guidelines. Families will then deliver the package to the older adult’s home on Tuesday, December 16, between 4:30 – 6:30 PM.
After delivering the package, each family will connect with the older adult by phone, virtually, or in-person to wish them a happy holiday. If you have any questions you can reach out to Laura Roman, Program Administrator, at sharemywisdom@dorotusa.org or call 917-441-5052.
