Help seniors maintain social connections while in isolation during COVID-19.

Creating a Just World

At this difficult time, we want to take a moment to reiterate our commitment to the core Jewish value of creating a just world, one where we all stand together as equals. For more than 43 years, DOROT has served the most vulnerable among us, regardless of race, religion, sexual orientation or economic status. Organizationally, we denounce all forms of racism, discrimination, hatred and violence against innocent people. We intend to better this world with compassion and service to those who need it most.

At Home

DOROT engages, supports and brings social connections to older adults in the convenience of their home.

We meet the critical needs of seniors by providing innovative programs that enable them to remain engaged and connected.

We offer weekly, monthly, occasional and one-time opportunities for seniors to enjoy volunteer visits. Some of our programs include home-delivered kosher meals, engaging classes and support groups over the telephone, and Friendly Visiting.

Call us to get started. DOROT can brighten your day and even inspire new meaning in your life.

At our headquarters on Manhattan’s Upper West Side, DOROT offers a variety of creative aging programs designed for older New Yorkers.

Discover new passions. Take a wellness class. Join a lively discussion group. Create a legacy arts project.

Share wisdom, experiences and skills in our award-winning intergenerational programs. Come play chess. Sing. Dance. Share.
