Planned Giving

Ensure DOROT’s programs continue for years to come with a legacy gift.

DOROT’s legacy is built every day by caring for seniors and making meaningful intergenerational relationships. Your legacy at DOROT is easier to create than you may think.

You can have a lasting impact on the lives of older adults through long-range financial planning in one of these ways:

MOST POPULAR

YOUR WILL – Include DOROT in your will or living trust. This can be as simple as writing one sentence in your will or trust. Your gift can be modified throughout your lifetime, as circumstances change. Contact us to request sample wording to share with your attorney.

YOUR RETIREMENT PLAN – Name DOROT as a beneficiary of a qualified retirement account or IRA. As a nonprofit organization, DOROT bypasses any taxes and receives the full amount of your gift. Contact your plan administrator or custodian to name DOROT as beneficiary.

YOUR LIFE INSURANCE – Designate DOROT as a beneficiary of a life insurance policy you once bought, perhaps to protect the financial stability of your family. Have your circumstances changed, with the original purpose of protection no longer an issue? You can name DOROT as a policy beneficiary, and we will use your gift to support future generations.
