Hundreds of Volunteers Connect with Seniors for Rosh Hashanah Package Delivery

A little rain couldn't stop hundreds of intrepid DOROT volunteers from turning out for Rosh Hashanah Package Delivery on September 10th!

Volunteers first stopped at DOROT's pick-up locations on Manhattan's Upper East/West Sides or in Westchester to pick up holiday care packages and get matched with one or more seniors. After dropping off the packages, volunteers stayed for a warm, in-person visit or followed up for a friendly call.

One volunteer shared, “DOROT is the absolute best! Your staff are kind, supportive, and so well organized, it is a real honor to be a part of the DOROT community!”

We were delighted to be joined by City Council Member Gale Brewer, who shared her support as she's done for so many Package Deliveries through the years.

We also welcomed reporters from ABC7 and CBS New York who stopped by to cover the event. You can watch their full stories below.

Thank you to all of our incredible volunteers!
