For older adults in isolation due to COVID-19, nothing is more important than staying in touch. With a little help from family and friends, older parents, grandparents and neighbors can learn to increase social connections and access vital resources via a smartphone, computer or tablet, and videoconferencing technology.
Created by DOROT program experts, the new Tech Guides are now available for public use. They contain step-by-step instructions on how to teach seniors, who are often late-tech adopters, to use their smartphone to check email, FaceTime, text and more. Guides for Zoom videoconferencing are also available for phones, iPads and Windows computers.
