Join DOROT’s LGBTQ+ community and allies for new and dynamic programs and opportunities to come together to learn, connect and share.  

Onsite@Home LGBTQ+ Film Club

Join Onsite@Home for a monthly LGBTQ+ Film Club via Zoom which gives voice and visibility to the wide scope of LGBTQ+ experiences. Virtual Talk Backs will provide time to further explore the themes of each film. Welcoming LGBTQ+ individuals and allies. 

Schedule: January -December 2022, with screenings taking place on the 3rd Tuesday of each month and virtual talk backs on the 3rd Thursday of each month.

Aging Alone, Together

This six-week series for LGBTQ+ older adults is designed for those seeking tools, strategies and support to age more intentionally and plan for the future. Each session offers a topic-specific presentation on critical decision-making, along with conversation check-ins and assignments. First come, first served--space is limited.

Intergenerational LGBTQ+ Affinity Group

Help create an intergenerational community space to explore common and differing lived experiences. High school students and older adults who identify as LGBTQ+ will exchange ideas, share personal stories and learn from each other’s experiences of navigating the world as LGBTQ+ individuals. Participants will help identify session topics and will be invited to prepare and lead discussions with others in the group.

Schedule:

Spring Semester: Thursdays March 31– May 12 (no workshop on 04/21), 5:00 PM -6:30 PM

Caring Calls, for LGBTQ+ Identifying Individuals Only

DOROT is connecting LGBTQ+ identifying older adults and volunteers to discuss interests and explore experiences as part of this shared community. Commit to 8 weekly 20-30 minute phone conversations, with an opportunity to continue if desired.

Join DOROT’s older adult LGBTQ+ community for a bi-monthly opportunity to socialize, discuss, and gather together.

Schedule: Ongoing, every other Tuesday.
