Learn more about the virtual programs available to Queens residents below:

University Without Walls: Dial into friendly group conversations and learning opportunities exclusively for telephone users. Programs on the arts, music, current events, wellness, and more are led by knowledgeable and enthusiastic facilitators. For programs in Russian, please call 917-441-5061.

Caring CallsConnect with an adult volunteer for a 20-30-minute weekly friendly chat about common interests. Matches are for 8 weeks and often last longer.

Onsite@Home: Join us on Zoom for weekday programs offering exciting and enriching content on everything from art and culture and book talks, to poetry and writing workshops, meditation and movement, and support groups. View classes offered in Mandarin HERE.

GENuine Connections™: Bridge the generational divide. Engage in meaningful small-group conversations and creative activities with high school students and other adults age 65+ through one of our four- to eight-week workshop series.

Aging Alone Together™ : Register for this six-week workshop series, designed specifically for solo agers, to learn how to skillfully handle the legal, logistical, and social challenges of growing older. This is your chance to join a supportive community and create an action plan that will empower you to make necessary decisions. New sessions are offered throughout the year.

Legacy Projects: Share your wisdom, family history, recipes and more in a DOROT Legacy Project. Through a series of Zoom interviews, a trained volunteer will capture and help you record a piece of your life story, in writing or using photos or video. You can then share your legacy with loved ones and generations to come.
